Years of Experience:
3+ years in Science-related laboratory work, preferably using ELISA and cell-based assays.
Job Description:
Qualified candidate will perform various procedures related to currently established immunological test methods, including, but not limited to ELISA, toxin neutralization assays, column chromatography, PAGE, Western blot, protein assays, immunodiffusion and immunonephalometry. These tests will support pre-clinical studies to extend the vaccines use to broader application that is currently licensed. It will also support various development projects.  . This position requires the ability to handle animals for vaccination as well as being responsible for tracking animals and human sera for testing under cGMP. A good portion of time will be spent performing routine assays for screening of animal serum for presence of antibodies to potential new product candidates and to support a proposed larger-scale AVA production method.
Special Skills Required:
Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
Educational Requirement:
BS in Biological Sciences or related field.
